Come along with us on a once in a lifetime pilgrimage to the Holy Land! Bring the Bible to life through Daily Mass, worship and song at the very sites of Jesus’ public ministry with Fr. Rob Galea and FRG Ministry. Continue your journey along the footsteps of St. Paul on an optional Cruise of Greece aboard the Celestyal Olympia.
A deposit of $450 (AUD) per person is required to hold your reservation.

Our journey begins with a flight to Tel Aviv (departure flight not included).
Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, we’ll meet our Canterbury tour manager at our hotel in Tel Aviv for check-in at 15:00 (3:00 pm) and dinner.
Overnight at the Herods Herzliya (subject to change)
We will visit Caesarea, the Roman capital of ancient Israel, where St. Paul was imprisoned. After that, we will make our way to Mt. Carmel where we will visit the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and Elijah’s Grotto. Next, we will visit Nazareth, hometown of Jesus, followed by Cana, where Christ performed his first miracle.

We will sail the serene waters of the Sea of Galilee before we visit Capernaum, where Jesus performed most of his public ministry. We will travel to the Mount of Beatitudes, visit the Church of the Fishesand Loaves, and stop at Yardenit, the Baptismal site on the river Jordan.
Overnight at the Ramada by Wyndham Nazareth (subject to change)
We will visit Mt. Tabor, the site of the Transfiguration, following this we will journey to Jericho, theoldest known city. Next, we’ll continue to Jesus’ baptismal site on the Jordan River where you will have the opportunity to renew your baptismal vows. We finish out the day with a visit to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered as we’ll as a visit to the Dead Sea.
Overnight at the Grand Court Hotel Jerusalem (subject to change)
Today we will tour Jerusalem beginning with the Mount of Olives. We will visit the Church of Pater Noster and the Chapel of Ascension. Next, we will travel the Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane, where Christ prepared for his passion, and visit the Church of All Nations. We stop in Bethany, home of Mary, Margaret and Lazarus, and Bethlehem to see the Shepherd’s Field, Church of Nativity, and the Manger where Jesus was born.

Enter old Jerusalem through St. Stephen’s Gate, and visit the Wailing Wall and the Temple Mount. We will visit the Church of St. Anne and view the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus restored the blind man’s sight. We will walk “the Way of the Cross” concluding with a visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We will see the Model City of Jerusalem as it was during the Roman occupation. Time on your own.

We will visit Mt. Zion and see the Upper Room, revered as the site of the Last Supper, and the Tomb of King David. We will visit the house of High Priest Caiaphas, where Jesus was imprisoned for a night, and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu where the Apostle denied Jesus three times. We will end our Israel pilgrimage this evening with a farewell dinner together. Following dinner, we will transfer to the airport in Tel Aviv for our flight home (return flight not included).
Our Greece pilgrimage begins tonight with a short flight to Athens where we will be greeted by our Canterbury Tour Manager and transfer to our hotel.
Overnight in Athens
Full day in Athens. We will see many of the ancient ruins such as; the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Erectheum, and many more. We will also see modern Greece, such as; the House of Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Palace, etc.
Overnight in Athens
We board our beautiful cruise ship provided by Celestyal Cruises and we will sail to the sublime island of Mykonos for a day of leisure. Be sure to see the famous windmills.
Overnight aboard the Celestyal Olympia
Today we will visit Rhodes, also known as the Island of the Knights. We will see the impressive fortifications of the old medieval town and venture on to see the Acropolis of Lindos.

Today we will travel to Turkey to see the ancient Greek City of Ephesus, where St. Paul spent two years during his ministry. We will visit the ruins of St. John’s Basilica, where it is believed the “disciple whom Jesus loved” is buried. We will also see the Temples of Diana (Artemis), one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. We will sail to the island of Patmos, where St. John wrote the Book of Revelation.

After disembarking the ship, we will have a leisure day in Athens. We gather tonight for dinner.

With a revitalized love of our Catholic faith, we will board our plane for our return flight home (return flight not included).
