Your Hosts
Mirjana Soldo

Mirjana, distinct among the six visionaries, was initially a visitor to Medjugorje from Sarajevo. Despite Communist pressure, she now experiences monthly apparitions at the site where Mary first appeared. Mirjana’s mission is to pray for unbelievers, and she claims a special role in revealing ten secrets about the future, confirming the authenticity of the apparitions.

Colleen Willard

Colleen was a happily married mother of three when she was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. She came on a pilgrimage to Medjugorje with her husband John. During their trip Vicka Ivankovic Mijatovic, one of the six visionaries, prayed over her. Later that day, upon receiving the Holy Communion at mass, Colleen started regaining feeling in her legs. The same day, she got out of her wheelchair and climbed Apparition Hill. Upon returning to the US, her doctors confirmed that her brain tumor was gone.

Listen to her testimony below.

Jim Wahlberg

Jim first came to Medjugorje to visit his son who at the time lived in the Community Cenacolo. His first experience of going up the Apparition hill was a special experience because Jim helped the young men from Cenacolo carry a disabled person to the spot of the first apparition of Our Lady in Medjugorje. During his time here, Jim met several pilgrims who have experienced miraculous healing in Medjugorje.

Listen to his testimony below.

Day 3-9: Friday, October 4 - Thursday, October 10Experience Medjugorje

Medjugorje’s charm lies in its unassuming beauty and tranquility. During our visit, we will delve into our spiritual beliefs and connect with fellow pilgrims from around the globe. A local guide will be with us throughout our time in the village, enriching our experience with their knowledge and insights. Our spiritual activities will include:

  • Daily Mass at St. James Church: Join us every morning at 10:00 AM for an English-speaking Mass. After Mass, there is a special blessing for religious items brought by pilgrims.
  • Ascent of Apparition Hill: The site of the Virgin Mary’s first appearance to the visionaries. Starting at the Blue Cross, where early visions occurred under communist scrutiny, we’ll climb, praying the Rosary and meditating on the Mysteries represented by large bronze reliefs. A statue of the Virgin Mary marks the spot of her initial apparition, offering a serene place for prayer.
  • Climbing Mt. Krizevac (Cross Mountain): Erected in 1933, a 30-foot cross stands in remembrance of Christ’s crucifixion. Climbing this mountain, we will reflect on Jesus’ passion through the Stations of the Cross, each marked by bronze reliefs. The summit provides a sacred space for personal prayer.
  • Evening Apparitions: Each evening, we gather with the local community to pray the Rosary and commemorate the Virgin Mary’s apparitions, followed by the option to attend a Croatian Mass and receive a Blessing of the Sick.
  • Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Answering the Virgin Mary’s call to draw near to her Son, we offer opportunities for Eucharistic Adoration, a profoundly moving experience where the presence of God’s grace is almost palpable. Adoration takes place both in an outdoor altar surrounded by pilgrims and in a dedicated chapel.
  • Visit the Community of Cenacolo: Meet and hear the transformative stories of young people on their path to rediscovering Jesus, guided by Sr. Elvira Petrozzi’s foundation.
  • Prayer at the Risen Christ Statue: A unique bronze statue that exudes water, inviting pilgrims to pray and reflect at its base.
  • Visit the village of Šurmanci: Just a short distance from Medjugorje, we’ll find the miraculous Icon of Jesus of Mercy inside the Church of Šurmanci, closely tied to the awe-inspiring story of Ugo Festa’s healing. Ugo Festa, suffering from severe illnesses, was miraculously healed in 1990 after praying before this icon, influenced by Pope John Paul II and Mother Teresa. The church also houses a relic of St. Faustina.
  • Visit Široki Brijeg: 18 miles from Medjugorje, after Tihaljina, explore the Franciscan Friary where thirty friars were martyred in 1945 for their faith. Fr Jozo Zovko, linked to Medjugorje’s apparitions, once served here, welcoming pilgrims.
  • Visit the Kravica Waterfall: renowned for its cascading waters and lush green surroundings.
