Our pilgrimage begins today as we depart on our overnight flight(s) from Phoenix to Lisbon.
Meals and refreshments served on the plane
Upon arrival in Lisbon we’ll visit the birthplace of St. Anthony of Padua in Lisbon and further north we’ll visit St. Stephen’s Church in Santarem and adore the miracle of the “Bleeding Host.” Afternoon arrival into Fátima. Tonight, we’ll all head to the shrine for the candlelight procession. (Visits to St. Anthony’s and St. Stephens are subject to our arrival time.)
Breakfast (on flight) & welcome Dinner | Overnight stay in Fátima, Portugal
We enjoy Mass this morning at the Capelinha built over the holm oak tree where Our Lady appeared five times to the three shepherd children Lucia, Jacinta, and Francisco. We’ll tour the basilica and shrine. This afternoon, we’ll visit Aljustrel where the angel of Portugal appeared, and Valinhos where Our Lady appeared in August of 1917. Tonight we will all head to the shrine for the candlelight procession.

Our schedule today includes an optional day trip to the Atlantic Coast, its beaches, and the markets of Nazaré. We’ll visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazaré, located high on a hilltop. The Sanctuary memorializes a miracle which occurred in 1182, when a horseman who was about to be carried off the hilltop to his death cried out to the Virgin Mary, through whose intercession he was spared. We will travel to the medieval town of Batalha including its mighty church and the Abbey of Alcobaça. Founded in 1152, the church and monastery are the earliest examples of Gothic architecture in Portugal. We will return to Fatima for dinner, then head to the Shrine for the candlelight Rosary procession.

We’ll start the day with morning Mass at the Capelinha, followed by a visit to the Church of St. Anthony where the three children were baptized. Next, we’ll visit the walled city of Óbidos with its quaint medieval streets. After dinner we will head to the Shrine for our final candlelight Rosary procession in Fatima.

To those not interested in the optional tour, you may spend the day in Fatima or visit the many nearby towns on your own
This morning we depart Fatima and drive to Porto; we will have some time in Porto before we board our flight to Toulouse. Afternoon arrival into Toulouse, then we will collect our bags and transfer to Lourdes. This afternoon, we will have time to relax our explores Lourdes on our own. In the evening, we will gather for the candlelight procession.

We may fly out of Lisbon instead of Porto, subject to available flights
Today we visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, the Cave of Apparitions, the Basilicas and the House of St. Bernadette. In the afternoon we’ll have free time to participate in the ceremonies of the Sanctuary and bathe in the miraculous waters. After dinner, we will participate in the Candlelight Rosary Procession.
Breakfast & Dinner | Overnight stay in Lourdes, France
This morning, we will celebrate Mass at the shrine then take an optional excursion to Bartrès and the pilgrim’s path to Compostela, which is part of the Way of St. James. We will have the afternoon at leisure in Lourdes. This evening, we attend the candlelight procession one last time in honor of the Blessed Mother… “Ave, Ave, Ave Maria!”

To those not interested in the optional tour, you may spend the day at leisure in Lourdes
Today our pilgrimage comes to an end. With a renewed sense of pilgrimage and an invigorated love and understanding of our Catholic faith and the Virgin Mary, we bid farewell to Our Lady, but with the consolation that she’s always with us as we continue our pilgrim way, for no pilgrim ever leaves Lourdes untouched by Mary. After breakfast we’ll head to Toulouse and board our flight(s) to return home.

After breakfast we head to the Toulouse airport and board our flight(s) to Rome. Upon arrival in Rome, we will collect our bags then meet our tour manager and bus driver for the duration of our post-tour. Depending on our arrival time, we will take a panoramic bus tour of Rome and get acquainted with the Eternal City before checking into our hotel.
Breakfast (on flight) & welcome Dinner | Overnight stay in Rome, Italy
In the morning, we head to Saint Peter’s Square for the Papal general audience with Pope Francis (subject to his schedule). Afterward, we will have a private Mass nearby. Following a brief lunch, we tour the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica, marveling at the incredible art and history. Today we will be able to walk through the Holy Door at St. Peters Basilica. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight.
Breakfast & Dinner | Overnight stay in Rome, Italy
Today we will visit and have an opportunity to walk through the Holy Doors at the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, the Basilica of St. Mary Major, and the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran which symbolizes passing into the presence of God by way of our Lord Jesus, who called himself the “gate.” Those who pass through a Holy Door can also receive a plenary indulgence. At the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran, we also will have the opportunity to climb the Lateran Steps and attend Mass.

With a renewed sense of pilgrimage and an invigorated love of our Catholic faith, we will transfer to Rome [FCO] and board our plane for our flight(s) home.
