Monday, November 8 Depart U.S. via local airport for an overnight flight to Israel.

Wednesday, November 10 — Theme: The Holy Family Following breakfast, we travel by motorcoach to Nazareth to visit to the house of the Holy Family underneath the Church of St. Joseph. We then move on to visit the Basilica of the Annunciation for Mass at the Grotto. Once we have seen Mary’s House, we proceed to Cana to visit the Wedding Church where Jesus performed the first of His miracles: changing water to wine. In Cana, spouses will have the opportunity to renew their wedding vows. Dinner. Overnight Tiberias

Thursday, November 11 — Theme: “Come Follow Me” Today, we enjoy a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee to visit the Mount of Beatitudes, where our Lord gave the Sermon on the Mount. We then proceed to Capernaum to visit the house of St. Peter, the synagogue where our Lord preached, and the Church of St. Peter’s Primacy at Tagbha where our spiritual director will have the opportunity to celebrate Holy Mass. We will renew our Baptismal Promises at the Jordan River. Dinner. Overnight Tiberias

Friday, November 12 — Theme: “Who do you say that I am?” After breakfast, we head to Caesarea Philippi to visit a Roman amphitheater and aqueduct, then proceed to Haifa to visit Stella Maris Monastery and Elijah’s Cave. We will then visit Precipice Hill and on our way into the Old City, proceed to Mount Tabor where we will celebrate Mass at the beautiful basilica and the rock under the altar where the Transfiguration took place. Dinner. Overnight Jerusalem

Saturday, November 13 — Theme: Prophecies Fulfilled Today we visit Bethlehem and the Basilica of the Nativity where our spiritual director will celebrate Mass. We also visit the Grotto of Nativity and the Church of St. Catherine as well as the Caves of St. Joseph and St. Jerome underneath the church. Then on the way to the Shepherd’s Fields, we will visit the Western Wall and the village of Ein-Karem to visit the birth place of St. John the Baptist and the Church of the Visitation. Dinner. Overnight Jerusalem

Sunday, November 14 — Theme: Deliver us from Evil Following breakfast at the hotel, we travel to Bethany to visit the Mount of Temptation and the sycamore tree that Zacchaeus climbed to view Jesus. Next, we go to the Church and the Tomb of St. Lazarus and the Tomb of David before continuing to the Church of the Pater Noster, where Jesus taught his disciples the Lord’s Prayer. We will then pray where Jesus did the night before he was crucified at the Garden of Gethsemane, where our spiritual director will have the opportunity to celebrate Mass. We’ll end the day with a visit to the Church of Saint Peter in Gallicantu, where Peter denied Christ three times. Dinner. Overnight Jerusalem

Monday, November 15 — Theme: Passion and Triumph This morning, we will walk the Via Dolorosa through the markets of the Old City praying the Stations of the Cross. We continue our day at the Church of Holy Sepulcher, on the site of our Lord’s crucifixion and burial, where there will be time for Mass and prayer. After lunch, we’ll make our way to the Holy Shroud Exhibit at Notre Dame, followed by the Church of Dominus Flevit (in Latin, “the Lord wept”) at the Mount of Olives, and the Church of the Ascension. We’ll visit the Church of All Nations, at which we venerate the Rock of Agony, before ending our day inside the Cenacle, the room of the Last Supper and Pentecost. If time allows, we can visit the Church of the Dormition Abbey, built on the site where it is believed the Mother of Jesus, Mary, assumed into heaven. Overnight Jerusalem

Tuesday, November 16 — Theme: “Go ye Forth!” Following breakfast, we start our day with Eucharistic Adoration and Mass at the holy site of Emmaus, where Jesus appeared to the disciples and revealed himself through the act of breaking bread. Today we plan to visit the Qumran community where the Dead Sea Scrolls are said to be hidden. As time allows, we may get to visit the Church of St. Anne, site of Mary’s birthplace, and the miracle site at the Pools of Bethesda, where Jesus proclaimed to a paralyzed man “Stand up, take your mat and walk” and the man was made well.
