Our pilgrimage begins this morning as we head to San Diego, California where our Canterbury host, pilgrimage chaplain, tour director, and motor-coach driver will meet and greet us. On our way to Mission San Diego de Alcala, known as the “Mother of the Alta California Missions”, we will enjoy lunch at the park. Later Chris Check, the President of Catholic Answers, will give a presentation on St. Junipero Serra. We will tour the Mission, celebrate Mass, and have the opportunity to participate in the Catholic Answers LIVE broadcast with host Cy Kellet. We will have dinner in San Diego before heading to our hotel. Overnight Oceanside (Lunch, Dinner)

We set off to visit Mission San Luis Rey on the way to Mission San Juan Capistrano, named after the 14th century theologian, one of the most picturesque sites in all of California. We continue on to visit the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles in Alhambra where the sisters will serve us lunch.
