Our pilgrimage begins with an overnight flight from Houston to Lisbon. Meals and refreshments are served on the plane.
Upon arrival in Lisbon we’ll visit the birthplace of St. Anthony of Padua in Lisbon and further north we’ll visit St. Stephen’s Church in Santarem and adore the miracle of the “Bleeding Host.” Afternoon arrival into Fátima. Tonight, we’ll all head to the shrine for the candlelight procession. Dinner.
Overnight Fátima
We enjoy Mass this morning at the Capelinha built over the holm oak tree where Our Lady appeared five times to the three shepherd children Lucia, Jacinta, and Francisco. We’ll tour the basilica and shrine. This afternoon, we’ll visit Aljustrel where the angel of Portugal appeared, and Valinhos where Our Lady appeared in August of 1917. Tonight we’ll all head to the shrine for the candlelight procession. Dinner.
Overnight Fátima
This morning, we depart for Spain. Our first stop is at the Carmelite Convent where Sr. Lucia spent most of her life. Next, we set off for Porto where we’ll enjoy a tour of a local vineyard. Dinner. Evening arrival into Santiago.
Overnight Santiago de Compostela
Today we will have an opportunity to walk a portion of the “Way of St. James,” followed by a guided tour of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. Dinner.
Overnight Santiago de Compostela
We arrive in Ávila today, the City of Kings and of Saints, completely encircled by 11th century walls. This is the birthplace of St. Teresa, one of the greatest mystics, and the patron of the Avila Institute. We visit the Museum of and celebrate Mass at the Convent of La Encarnación where St. Teresa entered religious life. In the museum, we see various relics and the stairs were Teresa had an encounter with the Child Jesus.
Overnight Ávila
We continue our visit of Ávila today. The walled city of Ávila is the home of St. Teresa, one of four female Doctors of the Church. We visit the Cathedral, which contains many of St. Teresa’s relics, the crypt of the Convento of La Santa, built on the site of the house where she was born and home to the most comprehensive museum dedicated to her life, and the Convent of San Jose, the first convent that she founded. We also visit Los Cuatro Postes, where tradition says little Teresa and her brother Rodrigo were stopped by their uncle as they were heading to martyrdom. This spot provides a spectacular view of the city walls.
Overnight Ávila
Today we depart for Madrid where we will have a tour of the beautiful capital of Spain. Next, we continue onto Zaragoza this afternoon. On arrival we’ll visit the magnificent Basilica del Pilar, built upon the site of where Our Lady appeared to St. James. After, continue to the Cathedral of Zaragoza formally known as the church of San Vicente.

Today we’ll cross the boarder to France on our way to Lourdes this evening. After dinner, we participate in the Candlelight Rosary Procession.

Today we visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, the Cave of Apparitions, the Basilicas and the House of St. Bernadette. In the afternoon we’ll have free time to participate in the ceremonies of the Sanctuary and bathe in the miraculous waters. After dinner, we participate in the Candlelight Rosary Procession.
Overnight Lourdes
Following breakfast, we travel to the Benedictine monastery of Montserrat. Here, we visit the basilica dedicated to Our Lady of Montserrat. Following our visit we continue to Barcelona.
Overnight Barcelona
We spend the day in Barcelona, where we’ll have a guided tour of this beautiful city, including a visit to Antoni Gaudí’s breathtaking Sagrada Família. Dinner.
Overnight Barcelona
We say farewell to Spain and depart by flight for Dubrovnik. Upon landing, we will continue by bus to the village of Medjugorje for hotel check-in. We’ll enjoy dinner and an evening at leisure with an opportunity to participate in religious activities of the parish.
Overnight Medjugorje
After breakfast, we’ll join our fellow pilgrims atop the Hill of Apparitions (Podbrdo) and pray the Holy Rosary, as well as meet with the priests and seers of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary in Medjugorje (pending availability). We’ll break for lunch before our afternoon participation in parish activities, including the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and veneration of the Cross. We’ll end the evening joining in the rosary and Mass with blessing of the sick. Dinner.
Overnight Medjugorje
With a renewed sense of pilgrimage and an invigorated love for our Catholic faith, we board our flight for the return flight home.
